Manhattan Walk

ManhattanWalk

It started off innocent enough: take the subway uptown and check out the neighborhood parks.  The parks were beautiful and active.  The walk started as a stroll. At some point, we decided to keep walking, hiking through parts unknown.  There were moments on the train tracks, hustling to get to the other side, moments in overgrown bushes, being surprised by random couples emerging, moments of watching baseball games, and moments of pure exhaustion.  Dying of thirst, we stopped and bought some lemonade, but after the first sip, we threw it out.  It was the sweetest syrup ever!  There was probably more sugar than water.  Our legs thanked us when we made it back to Hell’s Kitchen and relaxed.
